This was my first newborn session in Charleston and boy was it a dream! Mary Beth and Van welcomed their first child, Anna, on October 27th. Unlike most couples, Mary Beth and Van decided to wait and be surprised to find out the gender of their baby when she was born! Her perfect little nursery in their home on John’s Island was so sweet complete with pink and floral details.

Newborn sessions are so special because everything about this season of life is so fleeting. Babies grow so fast and I know how precious it is to be able to look back on memories from when they are still so little. Doing their session in-home made it that much more comfortable. It allowed me to capture the nursery and environment that Anna will grow up in. Anna was so calm the entire time! She was wide awake and just comfortable in mom and dad’s arms.
