Declan’s time as a newborn just flew by! And at the same time it felt like it would never end… haha. Once, again I am writing this as Declan is on the verge of turning 3 months old. Hopefully his 2 and 3 month posts won’t be so late haha. So let’s talk about our time with little man as a one month old! I feel like sleep was our biggest challenge this month! One adjustment that we did, which finally made a difference in Declan’s sleep was introducing a bottle of formula for bedtime (and sometimes overnight as well). Once we did that he finally started to sleep for those longer 4+ hour stretches and man that was HUGE! Sleep has always been the hardest thing with him so reducing the number of overnight wakings has been a major focus for us. This is the month where he also started outgrowing all of his newborn sized clothes. He transitioned to his 0-3 month clothing, which is crazy since they were all massive on him when we first brought him home! Here are some other highlights from August with our one month old:

• Declan is a big fan of contact naps in the Konny carrier
• He doesn’t mind baths as much – although they’re still not his favorite haha
• Declan is definitely curious and always looks so amazed by everything
• I caught the sweetest big smile on video
• Declan outgrew the infant carseat insert
• Declan rolled over on video for the first time! (followed by a kiss from baby floof)
• He is definitely a morning baby! Always so happy and smiley
• We took Declan to the beach for the first time – although he didn’t get in the sand or water at all
• Very fittingly, his first restaurant trip was to a sushi place
