Life with a seven-month-old is so full of surprises. Declan is constantly keeping me on my toes these days and I know it will only get crazier from here! He has started crawling so fast that we needed to put a playpen in the loft to contain him during play time. And of course he is most interested in things he shouldn’t have – i.e cords and remotes. He has been doing so well eating his purees and has grown very fond of food pouches. Especially now that he knows how to suck from a straw and can eat it himself (with my help holding it of course). He is just a happy, goofy baby at seven months and I love him so dang much!

A few more things I want to remember from him at seven months:

• Declan still doesn’t have any teeth coming through
• He loves grabbing Finn’s hairs by the fist-full
• Little man is always on the move – climbing, crawling, standing
• Declan’s head shape is doing much better! – We may be able to get it off next month!
• One of his favorite things is to chew on pillows still
• He crawled for the first time on his hands and knees
• Declan tried his first non-puree food (avocado) and wasn’t a fan
• He got himself up from crawling to sitting by himself for the first time!
• Declan seems to really enjoy going on walks now that it’s getting nicer outside
• We try to FaceTime his cousin Triston a good bit since they love to see each other on camera
• He learned to stand in his crib (and shake the Nanit camera stand)
