Planning things to do for my birthday has always been a challenge. One, because the weather is in a gross in-between state (usually cold and rainy). And two, it’s just one day after St. Patrick’s Day! But this year was a big one. It was my 30th birthday!! Ryan and I planned ahead and managed to block off that weekend with some of my closest friends from high school. It’s crazy to think that we managed to stay friends all these years. Despite living far away for years at a time and all going to different colleges, they’re still my best friends!
Laura and Heather were both in our bridal party so it was super fun to be able to catch up with them again. We also got to meet Nick and Laura’s baby Parker for the first time!! He is the sweetest little baby and is already making moves towards walking, which was so cute. We spent 3 days hanging out around the fire, playing games, catching up and even snuck out to a winery one day. If you know me, you know that I am not a go out and go crazy kind of girl so this laidback weekend was PERFECT. It was the cutest little A-frame house and beautifully decorated! If you wanna stay here, this is the Airbnb Link.
Honestly, up until now it never really felt like my 30th birthday was going to be a big deal, but now that I am I keep saying to myself “Oh man, I’m 30!”. And luckily for me, people still seem to be shocked when I tell them I’m 30. So I will try and maintain that element of surprise moving forward haha. So goodbye to my 20’s and here’s to an even better decade full of adventures and surprises! If you want to see what we did for Ryan’s 30th birthday last year, check out my post about that trip here!
Looks like you had a great time. Love all the pictures ❤️
