When Ryan and I decided on Wilmington, NC for our wedding a lot of people were surprised. Neither of us had ever lived there and we had no family there, so why Wilmington? Well, earlier that year we had considered moving there! We were having a discussion in the car one day about where we’d like to eventually live. We both love the beach and wanted to be closer to the coast. So we started going over potential options! Charleston was our first thought, but with how fast Charleston is growing and how expensive it is to live there, we decided not there. So then we tried to think, where is a city near the beach that’s not a retirement location and isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg to live.. And that’s when we discovered Wilmington! We decided to drive down and visit to see what it was like, and we fell in love!! However, due to jobs we were unable to take the leap and relocate, BUT we decided since we loved it so much, why not get married there? Once we decided on that and found Anna Taylor, the sweetest talented wedding photographer, we booked our engagement session for that winter! It was so COLD and sooo WINDY! But, that glow and those colors can’t be beat!
