Fun fact, these mini sessions I did with our friends was actually RYAN’S idea! We were getting ready to pack up for our week-long trip in Avon, NC for his 30th birthday and Ryan looked at me and said “Hey, did you want to see if any of the couples would be interested in a photo session while we’re at the beach?”. BRILLIANT idea! Why didn’t I think of that? Our friends Courtney and Matt got married in December shortly after Ryan and I got married. Courtney was actually the girl who caught my bouquet!! They did a small, quiet wedding in the snow. While they didn’t have the opportunity to do a big reception then, they have talked about doing one next year 🙂 They currently live up in Maryland renovating their new house (which means we had plenty of house stuff to talk about on this trip). BUT that means they don’t have the opportunity for beach photos like this very often. So when I reached out asking if they’d be interested in a mini session on our trip, they were so excited! Needless to say, it was a great suggestion by Ryan that turned out amazing! Courtney’s dress brought our her eyes and matched perfectly with the blue ocean theme of the shoot!! Seriously, her eyes are stunning!
