Hannah and Elijah met and started dating in MIDDLE SCHOOL!! How crazy is that? They have been together longer than most couples, which made this the sweetest proposal ever because all of their friends and family were so EXCITED for them to get engaged! Hannah’s best friend Anna reached out to me, along with Elijah, about photographing their engagement and I was beyond excited! Elijah told me he was going to propose at the rowing docks at Clemson and that Hannah’s friends were going to help decorate before the couple got there. It was so sweet that all her friends were helping pitch in to make this moment as perfect as it could be for their best friend.

I arrived early to stake out my spot in the trees where I could hide and capture the magic without being seen. Elijah walked her down to the edge of the dock where he had set up flowers and candles to make this moment perfect. He got down on one knee and I watched as she lit up with excitement and began looking around, wondering if anyone was seeing what was happening! Little did she know, I was up on a hill, photographing the whole thing. To say that these two are adorable is a serious understatement. Hannah couldn’t contain the joy she was feeling as a newly engaged fiancé!! And then, to top it all off, Elijah surprised her with her dog Cooper. He was wearing the cutest little blue bandana that said “He put a ring on it” which was adorable. I am a huge dog lover so anytime someone incorporates a floofy companion in their photos, I’m excited. Every part of this session was perfect. From the beautiful setting, to the cute pup and their perfect outfit choices (I’m a big fan of blue if you couldn’t tell haha). I just can’t wait for their wedding next fall!
