This engagement session at Milliken Field was particularly fun because Sophia is also a wedding photographer! She runs a photography and freelance media business so she is very familiar with the process. Her fiancé Taylor works for a non-profit in Greenville helping less fortunate families with housing. They are such a genuinely sweet and caring couple, which made photographing them a breeze. In fact, they have such infectious personalities that I was literally smiling the entire time – behind the camera haha. I actually even found myself smiling while editing their session because I could just feel the joy and love between them.

Sophia and Taylor are getting married in November at the Venue at Falls Park. When I talked to Sophia about it, she said she really just didn’t want to get married in a barn and that most of the venues in the area are in-fact barns. So when they found the Venue at Falls Park, they loved it! It’s a mix of modern and industrial with lots of concrete and black iron elements, big windows and outdoor spaces.

Spending time with Sophia and Taylor I learned a few things. One, they are just effortless together. Looking at the two of them you would think they had been together for years! You would never know that they had only started dating in March of 2021! They met on an online dating app (just like Ryan and I did) and knew right away that they were perfect for each other. That’s why Taylor proposed after only 10 months of dating! He proposed in a special garden with a custom ring made with his grandmother’s diamonds! I mean seriously, how sweet! He even had the extra diamonds from his grandmother made into a pair of diamond stud earrings for Sophia. It was the cutest story and they are honestly just the cutest couple! I cannot wait for their fall wedding later this year!
