I absolutely LOVE a classic styled wedding. There’s something so timeless about black tuxedos and a satin wedding dress. But you know what makes them even better in my book… when the couple is also so fun and laid-back! That is my kind of wedding!! Spencer and Huntley’s Wavering Place wedding was all of these things and more. My first impression upon meeting this group was “Oh, this is going to be a FUN day” haha. They were so full of energy and laughs! I have never seen a groom more willing to pose for photos than Huntley. Any time we put him in front of the camera, he would strike a pose and he was not afraid to be over-the-top about it, which always made everyone else laugh.

One of the most fun facts I learned while talking to Spencer was that the big beautiful bow on the back of her wedding dress was not part of the original design! When she was shopping for her dress, she fell in love with this gorgeous cream-colored sating ballgown, but it was missing the one thing she always wanted on her wedding dress… a bow. So she had a custom bow made out of the same fabric and added to the back! I thought that was so fun and so special that she was able to make the dress her own and one-of-a-kind.

At the end of the day, this Wavering Place wedding was an absolute dream. I loved the colors, the vibe from all the bridal party and their guests, the gorgeous venue, etc. Every detail was thought-out and intentionally selected to represent Spencer and Huntley’s personalities. I always love second-shooting with Kylie Anne and this was no exception. Her clients are so fun and so sweet! I hope I get the chance to shoot at Wavering Place again in the future and that you enjoy all the photos from this beautiful wedding!
